In 2000, a choral movement began in Catalonia. The starting point was the gospel and it rooted strongly in the entire musical and vocal fabric of the territory.
Because of this intense work, a series of high-quality soloists emerged in the different choirs and, in 2008, Ramon Escalé created Barcelona Gospel Messengers, a project that brought together fifteen of these soloists.
Since then, they took their energetic performances to all corners of Spain, France and Italy, and shared the stage with some of the great figures of international gospel such as Donald Lawrence (United States), Lurine Cato (United Kingdom), Trey McLaughlin (United States), London Community Gospel Choir (United Kingdom) as well as with La Locomotora Negra, Sant Andreu Jazz Band. Moreover, they participated in major Festivals such as One Heart Gospel Festival, Barcelona Jazz Festival and Festival Grec, among others.
