Daniel Freiberg, the prolific Argentine-American composer, pianist, arranger, and producer based in New York, masterfully blends classical music, jazz, rock, and Latin American music.
A multiple Grammy winner, Freiberg has collaborated on a wide range of projects, commissions, and recordings with renowned musicians and orchestras from around the world. He has worked with Paquito D’Rivera, the Radio Orchestra of Cologne (Germany), the Radio Orchestra of Munich, the Orchestra of Valencia, Pacho Flores, the Symphony Orchestra of Minería (Mexico), Berta Rojas, the Arnhem Philharmonic (Netherlands), the Grant Park Symphony (Chicago), The Philadelphia Orchestra, and many other prominent ensembles.
His concert “Latin American Chronicles” in a version for trumpet and orchestra was recorded by Pacho Flores with the Symphony Orchestra of Minería, conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto, for Deutsche Grammophon in 2022. In addition to his contributions to classical music, Freiberg is also recognized for his work as a composer for film and television, having collaborated with HBO, NETFLIX, Lions Gate, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel.
Freiberg received his education at the Juilliard School of Music, where he studied composition, orchestration, and contemporary music with distinguished mentors. He also acquired skills in jazz, composition, orchestration, and piano from notable musicians such as Don Sebesky, Earl Hagen, Jacky Byard, Hal Galper, Gil Goldstein, and Andy Laverne. His musical versatility and extensive experience have established him as a prominent figure in the international music scene.
