DELIS DUO is formed by the cellist Irma Bau and the pianist Irina Veselova. They became a stable duo after the master classes with the cellist Peter Bruns and made their debut in 2017 in Barcelona. Later, they won first prize at the 23rd Capellades International Paper de Musica Competition, second prize at the Les Corts International Music Competition (Barcelona) and first prize at the Mirabent and Magrans International Competition in Sitges at the chamber music modality the same year.
They recorded their first album Joies del Romanticisme in 2018 at L'Atlàntida de Vic auditorium with the Solfa Recordings label, with sonatas by César Franck and Serguei Rahmáninov. In 2019, they participate in the concert series "Audicions íntimes", recorded and broadcast by Catalunya Música and presented by Xavier Chavarria. During 2020, on the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, they performed the entirety of his works for cello and piano in various concert halls and festivals in the country.
Over these years of experience they have performed in a great diversity of venues in the country such as L'Atlàntida in Vic, the CGAC Auditorium in Santiago de Compostela, Martín Códax Auditorium in Vigo, Caixa Forum in Barcelona, Teatre Principal de Valls, Antón García Auditorium April of Baza, etc. In addition, they have received classes from prestigious teachers such as Arnau Tomàs, Jacob Shaw, Cibrán Sierra, Peter Bruns, Jonathan Brown or Maria de Macedo.
Recently, they have worked on a multidisciplinary project, with the collaboration of the actress Arántzazu Ruiz, to disseminate works by female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Currently, they continue with their concert activity and seek to promote new interdisciplinary projects to continue exploring other artistic fields.
