Brutter is a duo dive into human and machine driven beat music. They make their avant garde beats for a bumpy bleak dance floor by focussing on diverging pulses and patterns, using drums, drum machines and electronics. Brutter was formed in 2012 and has made three albums: the self titulated debut in 2015 and Reveal and Rise (July 2017), as well as the bandcamp-release Montreuil Beats in 2020.

Created by the Wallumrød brothers, trained at the Trondheim Conservatory in Norway in the early nineties, the group has worked on quite different musical sides. Drummer and vocalist Fredrik has played in several rock bands and metal such as Span, El Caco and Dog Almighty, in addition to his work with singer-songwriter Susanna and soul/r&b artist Jarle Bernhoft. Christian leads and makes music for his own ensemble, alongside his work with Dans Les Arbres, various solo projects, ad hoc constellations and commissioned works.
