Eduard Iniesta Torres (Barcelona, 2 March 1968) is a composer of unique and emotive music with a distinctive style and a strong personality. He is a leading proponent of Mediterranean music, with an established performing career as a guitarist and a composer covering a wide range of genres including folk, rock, blues, classical and world music.

He sees himself as an untamed musician, free and always on the move, assuming many guises as a musician and working alongside numerous great artists and companies.

Of note, he has recorded eleven solo albums, some of them award winners, such as Andròmines and Els set pecats, the latter of which he performed in concert at the Palau de la Música to celebrate his 25th anniversary on the stage. His compositions for orchestra include El gos solitari de Mozart, La petita casa de mi mateix, and La gran impostura with the Andorra National Orchestra. He has also composed music for theatre productions such as El Canigó by Verdaguer with Lluís Soler, 9 maletes by Joaquim Oristrell with his artistic partner Mercedes Sampietro, and Mi alma en otra parte for the Centro Dramático Nacional. His work as a record producer includes award-winning albums such as Marina Rossell canta Moustaki. He has performed on soundtracks for cinema, television, advertising, theatre, classical music, dance, etc., with companies such as Dagoll Dagom, Universal Teatre, La Perla 29, the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC). He has been the musical director and responsible for the musical arrangements in shows for family audiences: Mamemi… Mozart! at L’Auditori de Barcelona, Cantània: A de Brossa at L’Auditori de Barcelona and Big Bang Beethoven at the Palau de la Música. He has toured with Javier Camarena and Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco. Having composed the original music for Odissea, a dance work choreographed by Maria Rovira, he co-produced performances at the Teatros del Canal and Mercat de les Flors that won the 2023 Butaca Award for best dance show. These are just some examples of a multi-faceted body of work, striving to discover a sound that Iniesta himself refers to as a “synthesis”.
