Born in 1990, he starts his musical studies as a cellist and graduates in the Hochschule fuer Musik Detmold (Germany) after studying with Eulàlia Subirà, Lluis Claret, Maria de Macedo and Xenia Jankovic. He also wins several international awards such as the Pablo Casals scholarship and the second prize at the Ravel Academy in France.
Ferran initiates his singing studies in 2013, also in Detmold, with Professor Lars Woldt, and later he graduates in Barcelona at the Liceu Conservatoire with professor Dolors Aldea being awarded with the best qualification Suma Cum Laude. He also works with Dalton Baldwin, Matthias Goerne, Thomas Hampson or Wolfgang Rieger.
He was awarded with several prizes in international competitions such us the Palet Competition in Martorell (2018), the second prize in the 95th Juventudes Musicales de España Competition (2019) or the third prize in the Germans Pla Competition (2021). In 2019, he was selected to participate in the Primer Palau competition in Barcelona.
In 2020, he debuted in some of the most recognized Lied festivals in Spain such us Schubertíada Vilabertran, Life Victoria Festival, Barcelona Spring Festival or Festival de Perelada. He worked with some Spanish orchestras like Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Príncipe de Asturias, Orquestra Sinfónica del Vallès, Ensemble Méridien or JONC, in music halls such as Palau de la Música Catalana, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Philarmonie in París, Teatro Calderón in Valladolid or Evolkution Auditorio in Burgos.
Albrich performed roles in operas by Scarlatti, Purcell, Mozart or Puccini and oratorios by J. S. Bach, Mozart, Fauré or Händel. In symphonic lied genre, he sang the Fahrenden Gesellen and Knabenwunderhorn by Mahler or the Don Quichotte by Ravel, as well as works and cycles by Schumann, Schubert, Brahms, Beethoven, Debussy or Poulenc.
