Guillem Albà is a clown and scenic creator with his own language developed over the seventeen years since his creation company was founded. Born into a family dedicated to puppetry (L’Estaquirot Teatre) and an artistic universe that is constantly evolving, expanding and discovering, his work combines disciplines such as visual theater, clowning, puppetry, music and gestural theater.
He has created and premiered nine shows: Sketchofrenia, Flirt, Trau, Marabunta, Pluja (with Clara Peya), CALMA!, Jaleiu, Ma solitud and Tota aquesta por que ara tinc, with which he has performed in Spain, France, Romania, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Argentina, Italy, Greece, Uruguay, Peru, Germany, China and Denmark.
He co-directed Canto jo I la muntanya balla, a theatrical adaptation of the novel When I Sing, Mountains Dance, which was awarded with three Max Awards.
He has also worked with other people with Titzina Teatre, Àngel Llàcer or as a clown for the the Rhum show at Teatre Lliure.
Always curious about trying new disciplines, Albà has worked in radio, on programs like Islàndia with Albert Om on RAC1, in television presenting El llenguado or Celebrem! on TV3, and has written the book D’aquí no marxaré mai, published by La Campana.
Never forgetting his connection with music, he has created and directed theatrical concerts like the Miralls i Miratges tour for Love of Lesbian. He has also worked with music groups such as Txarango, Anna Roig, La Tresca i la Verdesca or Balkan Paradise Orchestra.
