Franco-American harpsichordist Justin Taylor emerged onto the international scene by winning the First Prize at the prestigious International Competition of Early Music in Bruges in 2015. That same year, he founded the ensemble Le Consort. In 2017, he was nominated in the Young Soloist category at the French Victoires de la Musique.
Justin is invited to venues and festivals such as the Philharmonie de Paris, BOZAR in Brussels, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Cologne Philharmonic, LSO St Luke’s, KKL Lucerne, De Bijloke, Auditori de Barcelona, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Auditorium du Louvre Paris, Washington DC Library of Congress, Oji Hall Tokyo, Seoul Arts Center, La Roque d’Anthéron Festival, Innsbrucker Festwochen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, Saint-Denis Festival, Radio France Montpellier Festival, Sintra Festival, Saintes Festival. He has also performed as a soloist with Concerto Köln, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Orchestre de Picardie, Mannheimer Philharmoniker, Duisburger Philharmoniker.
Justin Taylor is an exclusive artist of ALPHA Classics. His recent album Bach & l’Italie released in the autumn of 2023, garnered international critical acclaim with major awards (Diapason d’Or of the year, Choc Classica of the year, BBC instrumental choice). This was followed by several internationally acclaimed albums; ‘La Famille Rameau’, ‘La Famille Forqueray: Portrait(s)’ and Continuum dedicated to Scarlatti and Ligeti. Justin has also recorded Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 17 with fortepiano. With Le Consort, Justin has recorded four albums on ALPHA Classics: ‘Venez, chère Ombre’ and ‘Royal Handel’, both with mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, ‘OPUS 1’ (Diapason d’Or) and ‘Specchio Veneziano’ (2021) with works by Reali and Vivaldi.
