Born in Barcelona, he studied music at the Escolania de Montserrat and at the Conservatories of Badalona and Barcelona. He completed his training studying analysis with Benet Casablancas and conducting with Antoni Ros-Marbà.
He has conducted the main Spanish orchestras such as those of A Coruña, Granada, Tenerife, Madrid (National, Symphony and RTVE), Bilbao, Castile and León, Santiago de Compostela, Córdoba, Seville, Principality of Asturias, Malaga or the Balearic Islands, among others others At the same time, he has developed a successful opera career that has led him to make his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Teatro Real de Madrid, the National Opera of Korea and the Washington DC Opera.
Among his recent activity are numerous appearances in the stable season of the Frankfurt-Oder Symphony, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ciudad de Granada Orchestra, the RTVE Orchestra and the Geneva Chamber Orchestra.
He was the head of the Orchestra Conducting class at Musikene from 2010 to 2013 and is currently a professor at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceu (Barcelona).
