With classical and contemporary training, but always drinking from other sources of inspiration, Núria Andorrà proposes a universe where images, sound and the body come together to transmit emotions and to create from interdisciplinarity.
Winner of the 2019 Puig Porret prize at the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic 2019, the 2020 Zirkòlika special prize and the "Alícia" prize of the Catalan Music Academy for her interdisciplinary show Constel·lacions, she has performed with Agustín Fernández, Fred Frith, Lê Quan Nihn, Ingar Zach, Joëlle Léandre, Mats Gustafsson, Pablo Ledesma, Nate Wooley, Frances-Marie Uitti, Joe Morris, Ramon Prats, Tom Chant, Joachim Badenhorst, Yasmine Azaiez, Anne-Liis Poll, Nuno Rebelo, Marc Vilanova, Alessandra Rombolá and Christiane Bopp. She has worked with dancers such as Julyen Hamilton, Manel Salas, Sònia Sánchez, Magí Serra and Constanza Brncic, as well as with Carles Santos, Hèctor Parra, Matmos and in several shows from different disciplines.
She is an improvisation teacher at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and teaches workshops at different higher conservatories in Europe. She is artistic director of MontMusic Festival and Improject Ensemble.
