The soprano Pilar Alva Martín, initially a violinist and later specialized in lyrical singing in Switzerland, has gained recognition for her performances in a wide range of operatic roles and concerts. Highlights include her performances as Amor in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, El Fuego in Los Elementos, by Antonio Literes, and other characters in baroque and classical works.

She has collaborated with prestigious orchestras and ensembles such as the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Forma Antiqva, and Ensemble Gli Angeli Genève. Additionally, she has been invited to renowned international festivals such as the Granada International Music and Dance Festival and the International Santa Lucía Festival in Monterrey, Mexico. Pilar has had the privilege of working with distinguished conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Michel Corboz, and Rolando Villazón.

For the 2023-2024 season, she is scheduled to perform the role of Belinda in Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” in Switzerland, as well as embark on a concert tour in Mexico alongside pianist Jorge Viladoms.
