Taghi Akhbari is a classical Persian chant performer. He stands out for having trained both in lyrical singing, at the Tours opera, and in sacred singing with the masters of Persian music, according to the traditional form of oral and direct teaching. All this has allowed him to combine western technique with oriental sensibility.
Since he became known at the Royaumont Abbey in 2005, he has collaborated with great artists such as Kudsi Erguner, Dâriush Talâi, H. Omoumi, Robert Wilson, Bartabas or Noir Désir and has performed in places such as Royaumont, Venice, the Théâtre de l'Athénée, the Royal Opera of Brussels, the Roan Opera, the Cathedral of Amiens, Porto or Ravenna.
In his career, Les Laudes also stands out, an album recorded in collaboration with the ensemble Doulce Mémorie, with which he obtained the Diapasón de Oro in 2009.
