Pianist Tomeu Moll-Mas was born in Mallorca in 1975. He studied piano and solfège at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona. He later specialized in contemporary repertoire with pianist Jean-Pierre Dupuy. His teachers included Josep M. Colom, and masterclasses with Miquel Farré, Roger Muraro and Florent Boffard.
His commitment to contemporary creation and his search for new interpretative contexts for classical music throughout the ages motivate his constant presence at the main festivals for this genre in Europe, Brazil and Chile, such as the Festival de Pollença, Opus, Música Nova, Klang, Música Estranha, Gentsche Vleugles, and Unerhoerte Musik, and in venues such as the Museo Reina Sofia, the National Music Auditorium of Madrid, and the Cervantes Institute of Paris.
Along with Albert Díaz, he promotes Alter Face, an ensemble of pianists dedicated to reviving the repertoire and concepts in the musical interpretation of keyboard works. Since 2008, he has also been a member of the Ensemble Espai Sonor. He has appeared on Spanish radio, as well as on Finnish National Radio and several TV channels in Brazil. He has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Orquestra de Cambra Ciutat de Llíria and the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears, and with conductors such as Jean-Philippe Wurtz, Zsolt Nagy and Josep Planells.
Likewise, he wants to revive the works of unjustly forgotten musicians and since 2020 he has been performing the complete works for piano of Baltasar Samper (1888-1966), reviving, with singers Marta Bauzà and Roger Padullés, his comprehensive compositions for solo voice and piano. In 2014, he released his first solo album, De Natura Elèctrica. He has taught in several conservatories in Valencia and Mallorca. He was an artistic director of PHONA Cicle de Noves Músiques de Mallorca.
