OBC Orchestra
Temporada 2024/25
Dicover the new season!
Celebrated violinists such as Renaud Capuçon, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Carolin Widmann and Daniel Hope, the cellists Julia Hagen, Gautier Capuçon and Pablo Ferrández, pianists Jan Lisiecki, Albert Cano Smit, Lucas Debargue and Leif Ove Andsnes, and great artists such as Anna Prohaska, Sarah Aristidou, Alexandra Lowe and Sílvia Pérez Cruz.
The orchestra will be conducted by OBC Music Director Ludovic Morlot, now in his third season, and Stephanie Childress, the new Principal Guest Conductor.
The programme, based on the concept of nature as a source of musical inspiration, will take audiences on a journey ranging from Impressionism and programme music to contemporary soundscapes, with such iconic works as Strauss's Alpine Symphony, Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony and Debussy's La mer. It will also lead us into some previously unexplored territory, with works such as Ramon Humet's new string quartet, Vers l'infinit.
All this and much more awaits you in the OBC's new season at L'Auditori, (Against) Nature (24/25), which completes the diptych commenced in the previous season with Power or Revolt (23/24). L'Auditori’s new season reflects on the relationship between artistic creation and nature, with a programme conceived as a journey that explores the relationship between man and nature, from ancient times to modern-day society.
