EARLY MUSIC
2024/25 SEASON

Following his successful historicist interpretation of Beethoven's symphonies, in this, the 24/25 season, Jordi Savall will be continuing with his project of exploring works from the great Romantic era, featuring three composers from the period, Schumann, Schubert and Bruckner. Savall will also perform one of Mozart's masterpieces, the Mass in C minor.

In addition, L’Auditori will once again fill Barcelona's most iconic churches (including Santa Maria del Mar and Sant Felip Neri) with early music during the Festival Llums d'Antiga, an event that has received great acclaim in recent years. The festival will continue to stage major heritage recovery projects, such as the inaugural concert featuring the baroque ensemble Vespres d'Arnadí, conducted by Dani Espasa, which will be performing Carles Baguer’s previously neglected oratorio El hijo pródigo (The Prodigal Son, 1807). The programme will also include a performance of the Requiem for Four Voices by Joan Cererols, featuring the Cor Cererols conducted by Marc Díaz, and a concert by the soprano María Hinojosa with The Ministers of Pastime, conducted by Francesco Corti.
