NOU ENSEMBLE:

Nou Ensemble, the Majorcan instrumental group, focus
their activity on the exploration of new musical possibilities, based on the thematic coherence of each programme and opting for experimentation and interdisciplinarity,
broadening the traditional concept of the concert. Covers revolves around the idea of version-reversion-remix, and features a continuous programme of works from different periods and styles, reviewed from a contemporary
perspective by eight composers.

FRAMES PERCUSSION:
In 1985, Gérard Grisey discovered the sounds of pulsars and decided to compose a piece that could contain them without manipulating them, using their frequencies as tempi and developing the ideas of rotation,periodicity,
de-acceleration and glitches that the study of pulsars suggests to astronomers. The result is an immersive piece of almost an hour long: Le Noir de L’Étoile, for six
percussionists who surround the public, and magnetic tape and pre-recorded astronomical transmissions. The performance will be given by Frames Percussion, consisting of eminent percussionists from the Catalan music scene.

AXEL DÖRNER + RAMON PRATS:
Axel Dörner, the unclassifiable trumpeter and Ramon Prats, drummer and composer, bring us a promising session of
free improvisation. Dörner, trained in the classical and contemporary field, consolidated his activity as a jazz musician and improviser during the eighties in Cologne’s heterogeneous music scene, and progressively evolved towards a personal language, researching new sounds and new forms of musical expression. Ramon Prats is one of our most driven and talented home-grown jazz musicians; triple prize winner in 2014 for musician of the year, group of the year (for his quartet) and record of the year by the Associació de Músics de Jazz i de Música Moderna de Catalunya, this musician from Banyoles is one of the leading performers of free improvisation in Barcelona.
