Program
The Barcelona Young Musician’s Festival dedicates this triple concert to the string quartet, under the direction of Jonathan Brown from the Casals Quartet.During this triple concert we will have the chance to listen to the Novus Quartet, 2014 winner of the International Mozart Competition Salzburg and also acknowledged in the ARD International Music Competition in Munich and the Haydn Competition of Vienna. Representing Catalonia, the Quartet Dalia will make their début at the Auditori. The quartet is formed by members of such notable orchestras as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Camarata Bern. Completing the list of artists is the Armida Quartet, winner of the 2012 ARD International Music Competition in Munich, the 2011 Geneva Competition and in 2014 was distinguished with an invitation to join the BBC’s New Generation Artists series. The quartet was also nominated by the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg as an ECHO Rising Star.
