An uncomfortable reflection of the times we live in, ATRESBANDES, the Brossa String Quartet and musicologist Jordi Alomar use Shostakovich as the basis from which to make a reflection on censorship in the world of music and art in general. The show follows the company’s usual pattern, made unique by the defence of laboratory theatre in which the creative process is fundamental, an aspect in which it fully coincides with Col·lectiu Brossa’s ideas, always used to taking artistic risks, the improvisation required by each moment and each breath, the excitement of live performances, never ceasing to surprise, and breaking with everything that is expected of a classical quartet.
