Program

The Banda Municipal de Barcelona and the most prestigious brass quintet will show us the power of their instruments.We will be opening this season with four truly special proposals. First: we will be commemorating the centenary of the birth of Rafael Ferrer, violinist, conductor and composer who worked so tirelessly for our music alongside Casals, Toldrà and Lamote de Grignon. Two: there will be a visit from Catalonia’s most prestigious brass quintet to show us the power of their instruments. Three: we will be premièring the final work by Muro composer José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana. And four: the Russian energy of Shostakovich opens and concludes an inaugural programme bursting with colour.
