Program
Jordi Savall offers this St. Mark Passion in a unique concert that we can hear at the L’Auditori in Barcelona or at the Philharmonie in Paris.During his Weimar period, Johann Sebastian Bach partially adapted a St Mark Passion by Reinhard Keiser. Later, once established in Leipzig, he composed his own St Mark Passion, BWV 247, which was performed in 1731 and again in 1744 in a revised version. Various musicologists have attempted the reconstruction of the lost sheet music and now Jordi Savall presents his version in a unique concert that will be performed in Barcelona’s L’Auditori and the Philharmonie de Paris.
