Program
The premiere of the Ninth Symphony by Beethoven that took place in Vienna in 1824 was promoted by Beethoven itself. The success of the audience, except the first day, was so small that Beethoven had to include Rossini in the program to fill the theater on following performances. The genius of Bonn could not imagine that this work would eventually become the most famous in the history of music. Master Karl-Heinz Steffens will be conducting the Prague Opera Orchestra, a venerable European musical institution, recently appointed as its director. The master, who is also a great clarinet player, will give us the gift of playing himself the Mozart Concert for Clarinet.
