Program
Six students who have a lot of music to share. Jazz pulsates with improvisation. It is created from a mastery that can only come with practice, trial and error which, in turn, opens up new paths to explore and so it evolves. For this reason, the Liceu Jazz Group, consisting of the most outstanding jazz students from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, was formed. Its aim is to bring the professional world closer to the world of academia and help students develop their careers in professional settings. This performance, therefore, is a recognition of the work done in the classroom: a reward given to six students who have a lot of music to share.
For years now, this ensemble which, by its nature, is always changing yet maintaining its characteristic exacting rigour, has been taking part in the Festival Emergents. This space is shared with other young performers that also have the drive and desire to introduce themselves to a new audience. The young performers demonstrate their intelligence and maturity through the quality of their performance.
