THESE TYPES OF SESSIONS ARE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WHO PREFER A MORE CASUAL ATMOSPHERE, THEREBY REDUCING ANXIETY LEVELS AND MAKING THE EXPERIENCE BETTER FOR EVERYONE (E.G. FAMILIES WITH SMALL CHILDREN, PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER’S, PEOPLE WITH AUTISM, ETC.).
An opportunity to discover the music of Jef Penders, a key name in the world of 20th century band music. Having taught himself some of the main wind instruments, he completed his training at the Maastricht Conservatory, where he became familiar with compositional technique and studied counterpoint and orchestration.
Although he was born in Holland, Penders also lived in Valencia for a time, where he had a considerable influence on other musicians. The concert will showcase his breadth of vision as a composer and the multiple influences on his musical style in swing pieces with a touch of nostalgia, such as Indonesian Boat Song, Blossom in a Japanese Garden, March of the Androids and the pasodoble La primitiva.
With the support of the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Spain-France-Andorra Program (Poctefa 2021-2027).
