Pulverize the Sound is the trio of trumpeter Peter Evans, drummer Mike Pride and bassist Tim Dahl. This is one of the most representative groups on the New York experimental music scene. The group, which for years has been developing its own language based on extreme virtuosity, aesthetic eclecticism and an unusual technical control of the instruments, creates energetic and intense music.
Peter Evans’ experience moving between free improvisation, composing for classical ensembles, jazz idiom and contemporary music, with Mike Pride and Tim Dahl’s background in punk, free improvisation and electronica, has made them one of the most sought-after experimental trios in the United States.
