Ramon Prats, drums and percussion
Programme
Habits and hackneyed routines can weigh down heavily on the artist’s free flight. Drummer Ramon Prats has been fighting against inertia for years, with a stripped back style and great rigour. Drum solos are rare outside the context of a band, but Prats manages to sustain them and maintain interest with his uncluttered approach. The musician from Banyoles explores his multiple resources before the audience, guided by them but without knowing where the music will take him, as he consciously aims to avoid more familiar territory. Ramon Prats succeeds in making the experience transcendent for him and for those who listen to him.
