Programme
In their exploration of Mediterranean song and the examination of different styles of vocal music, Tarta Relena focus on the embryonic manifestation of the human soul and take the voice towards a universe increasingly affected by artificiality. With a repertoire that combines tradition with original songwriting, and with the audacity to defy all experimental codes, they are presenting a new offering of exquisite polyphonies and mystical electronics, seeking the maximum expression with the minimum of elements.
They have chosen Barcelona for the premiere of their new album, És pregunta, a conceptual project where destiny reigns as the supreme force in nature. Full of tension and mystery, it explores notions from the tragedies such as the limits of probability, the dichotomy between will and fate, and the insatiable desire to discover the unforeseen, all too often a determining factor.
A musical treatise nourished by unsolved mysteries and affirming the human existence, from one of today’s most creative and internationally successful Catalan duets.
