Programme
From Toulouse comes the Ensemble Dedalus, with an outstanding repertoire that explores the development of both current experimental music and pop. The programme draws on three key ambientalbums by British composer, producer and sound artist Brian Eno, renowned for his work with artists such as U2, Coldplay and the band he himself played with, Roxy Music. Dedalus perform their own acoustic versions of Discreet Music (1975), Music for Airports (1978) and Thursday Afternoon (1985). Influenced by Erik Satie, John Cage and La Monte Young, Eno’s ambient works have become a key part of 20th century music, as highlighted by Dedalus in this original concert.
