Program
A BEGINNING #16161D explores an imagined future after an end. It is an invitation to a medium where the concepts of space and time are altered and the boundaries between bodies melt away. In the dark, with their bodies and voices, five performers explore the possibilities of what we do not see: what we sense, what we imagine, desire or fear. A BEGINNING #16161D shifts back and forth between musical composition and choreographic writing, generating a dramatic storyline about the eternal tension between the individual and the collective to imagine new ways of inhabiting the future.
Escenes, the meeting point for artistic disciplines at L’Auditori, has commissioned this performance as part of the “Death or Return” cycle that is the underlying theme of the 2022-23 season.
