The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and its principal conductor, Kazushi Ono, join the Festival Emergents Barcelona. The OBC has invited two leading soloists to make their debut in Hall 1 at L’Auditori.
DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM HEREThey are the cellist Anastasia Kobekina, a 2018 BBC New Generation Artist who already has extensive experience performing with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, among others and the even younger pianist Alexandra Dovgan, sponsored by the great Grigory Sokolov.
They will take us deep into the Romantic era through a number of masterpieces in their repertoire, including Robert Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129 and Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25.
The concert will conclude with Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 6 in C major, D 589.
