Amidea Clotet is one of the leading names in Barcelona’s emerging free improvisation scene. With her own raw and bold musical language, her use of the instrument goes beyond standard manipulation of the electric guitar through extended techniques and objects.

In 2022, she released her debut solo album, Trasluz, featuring seven improvisations on electric guitar. In this work, Clotet uses a range of techniques and objects to explore the sonic and textural possibilities of the instrument, creating spontaneous soundscapes that reflect her artistic exploration. In addition to her solo work, she has collaborated with other artists, such as pianist Agustí Fernández, with whom she released the album Spontaneous Combustions in 2021.
