The renowned pianist and composer Lluís Vidal premieres with big band Iberiana, his personal review of the popular Suite Iberia by Isaac Albéniz.Within the framework of the 40th anniversary of Taller de Músics (Musicians’ Workshop), the renowned pianist and composer Lluís Vidal premiers Iberiana , his personal review of the popular Suite Iberia by Isaac Albéniz, an all-time masterpiece of the piano and Spanish music repertoire. Vidal will also be conducting the big band that will perform the work, composed of some of the finest performers of different generations of musicians. Starting from jazz and improvised music, the arrangement includes elements such as flamenco “cante” (singing), dancing and percussion on a round trip through time and styles that will bring Albéniz’s music and jazz to the heart of one of the most important flamenco festivals of Barcelona: Flamenco City.
