Flamenco singer Israel Fernández and guitarist Diego del Morao form one of the most fascinating duos on today’s flamenco scene. From a very young age, both of them were immersed into flamenco’s deep-rooted traditions, and Fernández and del Morao have shared the stage with names as prestigious as Raimundo Amador, José Mercé, Enrique Morente, Diego el Cigala, Niña Pastori and Miguel Poveda. For the last two years, the duo have been presenting their first joint work, Amor–an auspicious initial joint project by two budding new talents. This season, Fernández and del Morao will introduce the L’Auditori audience to their latest work, characterised by their unmistakeable hallmark. With their in-depth knowledge and respect for traditional flamenco, they take flamenco forward in time, driven by an irrepressible need to explore, discover and express their own approach to it.
