Originally from Clifton in the United Kingdom, Jake Bugg has built himself a solid career which started at the age of 12 when he started learning guitar. Inspired by great artists such as Don McLean, Johnny Cash and The Beatles, he started to compose his own songs two years later. His restless and creative spirit led him to give his first shows in his school and in local clubs. In 2011 his perseverance paid off and he signed his first contract with the record label Mercury Records.
He has released two studio albums since then: Jake Bugg (2012) and Shangri La (2013). Both albums have won him several award nominations including the BRIT Awards, the Ivor Novello Award and the Mercury Music Prize. At the age of only 22 he had already shared the stage with Noel Gallagher, The Stone Roses and The Rolling Stones, performing concerts in different parts of the world including Japan, Australia, United States and Latin America of course.
His third album, “On my one” (2016), was released last June and we’ll have the chance to see the only show he’s performing in Spain as part of the launch tour.
