Lluís Gómez is an acclaimed banjo player, violinist and mandolin player known at home and abroad, the festival director of the Al Ras and Barcelona Bluegrass Camp, a lecturer at the prestigious Virton campus in Belgium, with an extensive performance history and a champion of the five-string banjo. He takes audiences on a musical journey through Bluegrass, Swing, Blues, Folk and more with his pure acoustic music.
His albums include “Quartet” released in 2007 and his current album “Dotze Contes” 2017, features international artists Jean Marie Redon, Fred Simon, Ron Cody, Chris Luquette, Bernard Minari and Henrich Novák and from closer to home Josep Traver, Joan Pau Cumelles, Miguel Talavera, Oriol Gonzàlez, Maribel Rivero and Oriol Saña.
He combines his diverse experiences to present his new album “Dotze Contes”, a different take on the wonderful instrument that is the 5-string banjo.
