Empor is a unifying experience of literature and music, jointly conceived by Catalan composer Luis Codera Puzo and French writer Irène Gayraud. In Empor, Codera Puzo seeks the maximum level of interconnection between the music and Gayraud’s text, created simultaneously with the composition of the work and based on the idea of artistic creation itself. An unusual ensemble, specially devised for the occasion – three flutes, three sopranos and three double basses and formed by musicians from the best European ensembles – accompanies the exceptional German soprano Sarah Maria Sun.
