An ideal opportunity to enjoy the complete Messiah, with no cuts or adaptations. The masterpiece of the symphonic choral repertoire under the baton of our principal conductor and with the participation of national choirs and soloists. Messiah is so much more than the Hallelujah and is worth discovering. The work opens with the proclamation of the coming of Jesus. The music carries us along, combining dramatic and intense fragments with joyful and colourful parts, until we come to the most famous chorus of the work, the Hallelujah, at the end of the second part, which covers the Passion of Christ and his Resurrection. Finally, the third section is devoted to the Messiah’s triumph over death and closes with a spectacular Amen that wowed the audience on the day it premiered 277 years ago.
