DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM HEREThe trumpet, as with other brass instruments, underwent a profound technical and aesthetic transformation during the 19th century, becoming a soloist instrument in its own right, with its own unique repertoire widely cultivated by the creators of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Farrés and Hervada will perform essential works of literature for trumpet and piano, such as Sonata by Paul Hindemith and Légende by Georges Enesco, together with works by current American composers such as Joseph Turrin, and Richard Peaslee, who died in 2016. One of the highlights is the work commissioned by maestro Salvador Brotons, Impuls vital, which he wrote especially for them.
