Program
When he was appointed principal conductor of the OBC, Ono promised us the complete performance of Brahms’ four symphonies: last year he completed the cycle, but, the self-declared follower of Brahms, will be bringing the last of the German composer’s symphonies to us once again. In 2016, Kazushi Ono said: “Brahms’s clever construction of music provides a perfect opportunity to work on the connection with the orchestra and to achieve a sound linked to emotions. Since then, Brahms’s music has always featured on the OBC’s lecterns, much to the audiences’ delight. We are visited by one of Europe’s most acclaimed young musicians, the clarinet soloist of the Berlin Philharmonic (a position he earned at the age of 22), with the brilliant concerto by Carl Maria von Weber. The programme is completed with the premiere of the most popular Catalan composer, Albert Guinovart, for the participative project ET TOCA A TU (IT’S YOUR TURN). This year, users of the Parc Sanitari de Salut mental de l’Obra Social Sant Joan de Déu will share the stage with the OBC.
