Program
The Orquesta Médica Ibérica is made up of doctors from all over the peninsula who share, not only the profession, but also the passion for music. Periodically, they gather to hold a charity concert, the proceeds of which go to an entity in the health field, based on the firm conviction that health is a right that must be universal and a fundamental pillar of society. On this occasion, the concert is for the benefit of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, dedicated to researching Alzheimer’s disease.
This concert is a journey through Europe, starting with the Scottish islands that inspired Mendelssohn to compose the overture ‘Hebrides’, passing through Catalonia with the world premiere of the symphonic poem ‘Paratges de Briançó’ by the composer Carles Prat, and ending with one of the most famous symphonies in the history of music, Beethoven’s 7th.
