Program

The Barcelona Symphony Band opens its doors and invites you to attend a final pre-concert rehearsal.

Before you go into the concert hall, we will introduce you to the story of the symphony band, its repertoire, and the day-to-day work of the musicians and its conductor. Once you are in the concert hall, at the general rehearsal, you will be able to see and hear for yourselves how they prepare for a performance.

Gain a better insight into the band and its fascinating world of music.

The activity is divided into three parts: a 25-minute introduction, a rehearsal lasting 50 to 75 minutes, and a 15-minute commentary. The rehearsal programme might be subject to some variation and the presence of soloists and/or choirs cannot be guaranteed.

As a complementary activity, on prior reservation, we recommend a visit to the Museu de la Música.
