Inferno is the first solo album by the acclaimed Robert Forster, singer and guitarist with the legendary Australian band The Go-Betweens.
Forster only heads into the studio when he feels he has songs that he totally believes in, and this is his first album in four years and the second in the last eleven. The album was made in Berlin during the summer of 2018, the hottest that Germany had experienced in decades, and was produced by the celebrated Victor Van Vugt (Trailer Park, by Beth Orton, and Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, by PJ Harvey), who recorded his debut album in 1990.
The launch of Inferno has seen Robert Forster embark on a world presentation tour, calling at L’Auditori in November as part of the Sit Back programme.
This is an unmissable event where we can see one of the musicians who most contributed to sowing the seeds of what would become known in the eighties as indie pop.
