Program

Roque Baños is one of the most internationally-renowned Spanish film score composers. He has written more than 60 soundtracks and, included amongst the numerous awards he has received, are three glittering Goyas. Born in Jumilla, Murcia, he began as a saxophonist in the town orchestra and is always mindful of the wind orchestra when composing his music.Leading our Symphony Band, he offers us his most popular works with an added bonus: he himself is the author of the arrangements for concert band, amongst which there is a debut piece entitled “Rincones de España” (Corners of Spain), based on an audiovisual work he did that visited different locations in Spain and which resulted in a truly magnificent film.
