Program
The power of Russian music is such that you can almost see, feel and smell it. With the help of visual artist Borja González we have put together a musical programme that takes you on a journey through the largest country in the world.
INTRODUCTORY SESSIONS FOR THOSE WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS
3 and 4 October at 10:15 in the Foyer of the Oriol Martorell Hall 2
Participants can get up close and personal with musicians from the Barcelona Municipal Band, and get insight and in-depth information on the instruments played in the Band. Instruments can be handled, heard close-up and you even get to sense the vibrations when they are played, giving you a wonderfully sensory experience.
Those with tickets for the concert on the same day are eligible to take part. Places are limited.
Registration for the session on 3 October
Registration for the session on 4 OctoberFrom the shades of brown of the sand to the drawings created by the hand of our guest artist, you will be taken to the Russian grasslands where you can rediscover music from such great composers as Mussorgsky, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khachaturian and Tchaikovsky.
You will be taken on a musical voyage full of emotions and imagery. As you enjoy Russian scenes from where you are sitting, it will feel like time is standing still.
Borja González has toured the world with his company Ytuquepintas, performing their ”Dreams of Sand” show.
