Program
In the second concert of the season dedicated to Schubert’s lieder we will have the opportunity to hear German baritone Konstantin Krimmel and Bulgarian pianist Doriana Tchakarova. This year, L’Auditori concludes its focus that started in the 2017-2018 season on Franz Schubert’s lieder, one of the most extensive and highest quality corpora of songs in the Classic and Romantic repertoire. Schubert’s music has provided the perfect opportunity to discover the voices of some young national and international talents who represent the future of the genre. Schubert Lied is organised by L’Auditori de Barcelona in co-production with the Franz Schubert Association and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (National Centre for the Dissemination of Music).
In this second concert dedicated to Schubert’s lieder we will have the opportunity to hear German baritone Konstantin Krimmel and Bulgarian pianist Doriana Tchakarova. Keen to develop his talents in lieder as well as oratorio and opera, Krimmel won the First Prize and the Audience Award at the first edition of the Helmut Deutsch Lied Competition. The Krimmel/Tchakarova duo were winners in the 2018 edition of the Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition Berlin. They appear at L’Auditori with solid experience as a duo, to showcase their dedication to their craft in a combination between the expressiveness of the music and the expressiveness of the words.
