Programme
As we have come to expect in recent years, the Grupo Enigma presents a programme in which 20th century music and new music enter into dialogue with literature, philosophy, and even with the pre-eminent 17th-century verses of Calderón de la Barca.
A cross-border programme that navigates in one direction: reflecting on gender through the capacity (or not) we have to dream of being different. A programme proposal where the electronic music of Pauline Oliveros is blended with the verses of Calderón de la Barca. Where the great philosopher Gilles Deleuze warns us about the dangers of dreaming, while composer Núria Giménez Comas combines her music with the incendiary texts of philosopher and queer activist Paul B. Preciado. Composer Iñaki Estrada, for his part, reflects on genders and the voice based on the only existing recording of a castrati. All this accompanied by one of the great Spanish countertenors: Carlos Mena.
