We are celebrating our 25th anniversary, a special moment that we want to share with you. That’s why L’Auditori has prepared an intensive programme for the month of March, reflecting the diversity of the music we offer. With 25 years of history, Catalonia’s leading public music institution has become a showcase for the richness and variety of today’s music, and an international benchmark with the resources to support Barcelona’s musical life into the future.

The new Subsònic festival, a multidisciplinary event that explores creation beyond electronic music will start on Friday 1 March. On Saturday 9 March the Pau Casals Hall will open to the public with a free concert by the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, led by its principal conductor, Ludovic Morlot. On Friday 15 March the physical disc featuring the first part of Maurice Ravel’s complete works on the L’Auditori record label will be available for pre-sale. On Friday 22 March there will be a concert to commemorate our anniversary, with top international soloists and a programme that includes the world premiere of Songs for Júlia by Josep Maria Guix, commissioned by L’Auditori in line with its ongoing commitment to contemporary creative work in music. The celebrations will continue on Sunday 24 March, when the Barcelona Symphonic Band, with its principal conductor José R. Pascual-Vilaplana at the helm, will premiere Albert Guinovart’s Gaudí Symphony.

All this and much more, as we mark the 80th anniversary of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra’s first concert and the 20th anniversary of the first family concert “The Colours of Brass ”, an example of our commitment to making music available to audiences of all kinds.

You are also part of this very special event for L’Auditori. We look forward to seeing you!
